Angelina Tarrant is an OC primarily residing in the cyberpunk genre, based off my growing understanding of Neuromancer and Cyberpunk 2077.She's a guitarist for the one-hit-wonder punk band called "NINJA BOMBS". They're an indie group, playing anywhere from the street, to the subway, music festivals, shitty clubs and whoever would allow them. They share dreams about making it big, topping the charts and spreading their theme of anti-authority. They're like the future's Rage Against the Machine. Nu-Metal hardcore thrashing, rapping and moshing.To note the girl herself, she's like a classic punk. Attitude, wit, free spirited, light-hearted and FULL of mischief, from pick-pocketing schemes, scams and a bit of jaw-busting. She likes to fight and also be a little show off. However, nothing about her really speaks to anything negative. She has a big head, but isn't typically mean-spirited. Always willing to do something for a friend if she sees something in it for herself.Angelina is a hardcore believer about making her mark based on her own two hands and willpower. For that reason, she's tenacious, but also impatient. Her ego is smug and loud. She believes in betting on herself and valuing herself over anyone else. And she values exploration. Seeing things, doing new things. She loves challenges and acquiring what she calls "gold". Gold being the currency she associates items of power, interest, value or even a feat. Gold is memories. Gold is life experience. Gold is proof that she can do anything, which is a belief she holds onto, because anything can happen before then, so might as well try until something breaks you down. She fears being powerless to face death.And so, she has one teensy-tiny secret.
That she's a super-thief! A real supervillain.
A hoverboard riding criminal called Spectre. Over the last year, three bank heist jobs have been pulled off and attributed to this criminal. Photos and videos of the escapades are over social-media, giving her a small ring of fans, even more haters and a website with community polls on who should be robbed or what should be. She occasionally fulfills these requests, leaving a calling card and a photo. But these people are still just a small portion in the wider opinion. Spectre is still just a thief that operates with an over-sized head fit for a bullet.Angelina works for a ripper doc she values personally and dearly for saving her life. This Doctor not only treated her metastatic cancer, but gave her the ability to become Spectre through the Cyberbrain, making her a cyborg. However, to improve and advance the world of medical knowledge, Dr Nelson needs test subjects and lots of money. Hence, the reasons why Spectre arises. She has learned not to question or ask about it.But when it comes to conducting heists and maintaining their ring of crime, they're not alone. Spectre works in a ring of four individuals. Kelsea Nelson ( Dr Nelson ), the ripperdoc and cybernetic expert. Critical when it comes to making new tools for the gang. Allie Jane Reinhardt ( AJ ), the drummer of Ninja Bomb. Chameleon type, gun enthusiast and drives like the devil. Lastly, Mary Osbourne: An ambitious and corrupt member of the NCPD. She's critical when it comes to information and keeping the scent off their trail.

Cyberware: Though unwilling to admit, she's is fairly cyborgized, likely 50% or more. Much of her internal organs have been replaced by artificial ones due to tumours and her blood is synthetic to make it all work properly.- Cyberbrain: About half her brain is an adaptive cyberbrain that's connected into the rest of her body. With a bit of processing, she can self-analyze her own conditions from vitamin deficiencies to infections. She can manually trigger adrenaline and reduce exhaustion, manage pain response to a degree and release dopamine. This does have some side-effects, with chemical imbalances creating touchy moods, influencing her personality and making her cold, evil and sensation-seeking. The Cyberbrain, however, has given her the ability to netrun with an integrated deck. She's able to upload things to the Cyberbrain as well to teach herself skills with greater efficiency with computerized thinking and processing power. Though it still requires extensive practice. Her reaction times and decision-making are also boosted.- Artificial Heart: For increased circulation and BPM.
- Artificial Lungs, Kidney, Liver: Resistance to poisons.
- Cortical Implant: Ability to install HUDs, combat modules and Overlays.
- Kiroshi Stalker Optics: Ability to pin targets behind solid objects.
- Adrenaline Converter: Increases speed for a time.DRAWBACKS: Normal human weaknesses.- Sleep is difficult. She doesn't "feel" tired, but she does get irritable, paranoid and jumpy. When she feels her cyberware beginning to overheat, she can rest in an ice-bath.
- Due to huge risks for organ rejection, she cannot risk chrom-ing herself any further than she already is, limiting her physical capability.
- A bug in her neuralware gives her hearing sensitivity to certain high frequencies.
- The Cyberbrain reduces emotional empathy and capacity to feel love, fear, anxiety, depression, happiness and guilt. It also amplifies lust for power. Half her brain wants self-fulfillment and it struggles to feel rewarded or daunted. This makes for a troubling paradox where she can't feel satisfied, but not unsatisfied either.

NETRUNNING: When training herself to become Spectre, she was advised that this would be her main ability. NOT martial arts. Through her eyes, she can scan individuals and her cyberbrain can do the rest.Combat Quickhacks:
- Synapse Burnout: Induces stroke-like conditions from paresis, visual and speech problems and loss of balance. Practically a virus that makes the system bork out and pop.
- Overheat: Self-Explanatory.
Control Quickhacks:
- Reboot Optics: Temporarily blinds target. Only those with implants.
- Weapon Glitch: Causes weapon jams. Fairly critical for her method of combat.
Covert Quickhacks:
- Sonic Shock: Emits a high frequency noise inside the target's skull. Time dependent on range.
- Ping: Uncovers hostiles and devices.
Vehicle Quickhacks:
- Take Control: Provided she can stay in-range for long enough.Other Quickhacks: Primarily concerns devices. More general purpose.
- Distract Enemies, Turrent Friendly Mode, Turn Off, Take Control, Assist Mode, Extract Data

OTHER: When Nethacks and stealth fail, she falls back on a few options.- Martial Arts (Hand-to-Hand): The Cyberbrain helps her visualize combos and incoming attacks more quickly than human reaction. It plays into her defence and offence, often mapping her opponent's openings and cueing up strikes to make her body act automatically. Due to this, she can easily execute persistent combinations based on uploaded and practiced martial art disciplines, primarily forms of ninjitsu, BJJ, trick kicks and weapons.- Martial Arts (Weapon): For Spectre, she uses two crowbars as a trademark, primarily designed to be non-lethal. These make for easy combination opportunities with lots of flare, spins and showboating flips, all with perfect footwork and timing thanks to cyberbrain. And when it comes to Angelina, she has her Guitar as an motherfuckin' AXE. Her personal guitar is called Buster or "Bustah" for its ability to bust riot shields.- Hoverboard ( Spectre and Angelina ): Main mode of movement beyond her ninja ability. Think of Sonic Riders.

STORY

After Ninja Bomb's hit single, No More Chrome, they were unable to turn this into anything meaningful. Their image wasn't appealing for record companies and any offer they did receive required changes to their subject matter going forward. The band agreed about not giving up their messaging, but they still wanted to turn a buck. This is when half the band was divided, with one side doubling down on the status-quo and the other side wanting more than that.Angelina was on the latter side, especially with her background in Watson. She grew up living, breathing and gorging computers until she went a different route. She wanted luxury. But the band was skeptical to dabble in crime either, for fear of what mess that'll bring. They've gotten offers in the past. To run fenced goods to their buyers in exchange for commission. It eventually became appealing enough to try. They needed the money to keep going. And for a while, this worked.Until it didn't.
See, their system operated on a policy of no-questions and blissful ignorance. They didn't ask what they were transporting and items needed to be in an indiscernible case so they couldn't infer.

One day, they just so happened to be transporting a corporate secret from Militech about the development of cyberbrains. The next step in human evolution, safely put in a lunchbox on a shard and ready to deliver to a corporate dealer. She couldn't remember the name.And unfortunately, the deal was watched and attacked by militech netrunners, causing a crane to drop its metal beams and crush all those involved.

Angelina became a pancake. Mortally wounded, times a billion.
However, as the netrunners would find: the secrets weren't in that lunchbox. So all they had were bodies and a few million dollars in damages. Shame. So they took the bodies instead, the ones still alive, and put them in front of one Dr Nelson. She was tasked in keeping her alive to get their secrets back. The other guy died on the table. But Angelina was able to live on steroids and several surgeries, replacing her organs and reinforcing bones like jigsaw puzzles and games of operation. The most difficult being the brain damage that made her a vegetable, which was partially replaced by a cyberbrain, then further changed with a re-constructed skull. The only thing left unchanged was her neural port.She was successfully rebooted. Dr Nelson took great care of her as a living recipient of the Cyberbrain. She endured rehab and tests, with Dr Nelson uploading things to her cyberbrain to see how it reacts. To be ambidextrous. To control a little toy robot Dr Nelson made. Make it dance. Then it was off to Netrunning to see how it interacts. She learned the basics through here. But Militech still needed its shard recovered. However, she didn't remember it. Was she always carrying a fake? Did she stash it somewhere? Why?She didn't know. And there wasn't a memory scan that can tell either. But she still couldn't leave. She was now property of Dr Nelson, for about a year. The Human+ project was a program designed to create a new breed of human that can out-think and out-do humans in every field. The centre of which was the cyberbrain. With schematics lost, they were behind billions. But, that was far from the only issue. The truth was it created a squishy cyborg human variant, with replaced organs, soft tissue and a different brain that was more like existing Ai. Nothing special. And just as vulnerable to bullets.So they cut the program. And Angelina thought she saw the last of Dr Nelson until she showed up one day at an underground club. Angelina was having a reunion with her bandmates. After a performance, the two met up. They talked at length, re-traced their steps before the accident and eventually, Angelina came across the shard she tucked away. She remembered why she did it. It was a trophy. Bigger than anything she can imagine. A golden goblet.The Doctor appealed to that grandiosity by proposing they work together. She wanted the shard to continue research. And Angelina wanted prizes. So, Dr Nelson would make her stronger. In exchange, she'd go out to the world and accrue money and cadavers for a restarted Human+ project, now taking place in a shabby basement near you. The new Angelina, now coined Spectre, would be uploaded with combat chips based in Ninjitsu and further practice in Netrunning. Then she was ready to go. And thus... the rest is history.
